Pearson states that the International Level 3 Extended Diploma in Business is equivalent in size to three International A Levels. It is not identical to three subjects, and each university or authority decides whether it accepts the exact qualification and grade profile.

How BTEC works.
The exact Pearson specification and approved-centre rules always take priority over marketing summaries.
There are no traditional final written exams in this International Business specification. Assessment uses internal assignments and three mandatory Pearson Set Assignments. Some set tasks may require controlled conditions, so this is not the same as unrestricted coursework.
No. Evidence varies by authorised brief and may include reports, marketing plans, financial analysis, event evidence, presentations, workplace reflection and justified recommendations.
Pearson does not impose one universal word count across the specification. The task, evidence format and expected depth come from each unit and authorised assessment brief.
Not without limits. Teaching and formative support happen before formal assessment. Once a decision is issued, a resubmission may be authorised only where Pearson’s conditions are met, normally as one opportunity with a defined deadline. The work must remain your own.
Yes. No legitimate qualification can promise that failure is impossible. Attendance, effort, authentic work, deadlines and achievement of the assessment criteria all matter. The purpose of close support is to make progress visible and help you act early when something is going wrong.

How you join and learn.
September is the planned main intake. February and April are planned entry windows, subject to capacity, assessment sequencing and the approved registration route. Our aim is to offer a suitable supported start within three months where possible.
A later starter needs an individual onboarding and catch-up plan. The written plan must show which unit starts first, how missed teaching is covered, when registration occurs and the revised completion date.
The teaching model is online. However, qualification registration, local recognition, university acceptance and visa requirements vary by location. Confirm the intended destination before enrolment.
The complete Extended Diploma is 1,080 guided learning hours over two academic years, plus independent research and assignment work. It is a full, substantial Level 3 programme rather than a short online course.
